ATTENTION: I am now pursuing a degree in midwifery at Midwives College of Utah and am unable to take new birth doula clients at this time. I am still available for bereavement, placenta, and belly binding services. Stay updated by following me on Facebook or on my ePortfolio.

My Philosophy

As a Doula, my goal is to support couples in their birth, whatever their desires for that birth may be. It is important for a woman to educate herself and learn to trust in the unique design of her own body so that she may have a positive birth experience, and it is my job to help her do this. I believe that our bodies were uniquely and intentionally designed to create, carry, and birth our babies. It is a privilege to witness God's beautiful gift of creation through childbirth and a moment that I am honored to be a part of.
I am a Stillbirthday Certified Birth & Bereavement Doula, supporting birth in any trimester. I am also a MotherMe Cerified Birth & Postpartum Doula and have completed my Texas State Department of Health Breastfeeding Educator training.
I have experience and training in supporting families through many different birth scenarios including IVF and fertility struggles, VBAC, cesarean, advanced maternal age, adoption, surrogacy, unmedicated birth, birth using epidural anesthesia, and infant loss. I also have postpartum experience and training in supporting families with premature babies, babies in the NICU, and twins. I love baby wearing and enjoy showing parents how to use their slings or wraps and how baby wearing can make their lives SO much easier!
My Story

My passion to serve expectant mothers comes from my own birth experience. Being young, scared, and naïve to my choices, I put my full trust in my doctor and ended up with an induction and an epidural. Thankfully I had a healthy, happy baby girl, but had I been more educated and supported, I may have also gotten the natural birth experience I desired.
I am a mother of 6 precious children; a 7 year old daughter, two beautiful angel babies, 2 wonderful step-daughters, ages 10 and 18, and our 1 year old rainbow baby boy! I have always felt a calling to support and serve others and I think that this is what has led me to this path.
I committed my life to Christ in 2010, shortly after the birth of my daughter, and I believe that my passion to support women through birth is a calling God placed in my heart during that time. With the loss of my second pregnancy in September of 2013, I experienced the love and support that a doula can bring. My doula helped me through this very difficult time and I hope that experience can help me give even more love and support to women during pregnancy, labor, and loss.
