I don't consider myself much of a writer, so when I was recently asked to write a guest post on a fellow doula's blog I was anxious! I wondered what I, a relatively new doula, could really have to share that would benefit others. But then I realized, I offer valuable support to families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss. Not all doulas have the training to offer this kind of support, so what happens when their clients experience an unexpected loss? After all, that's exactly what prompted me to certify with Stillbirthday. So I decided that I not only could, but NEEDED to offer some insight to those doulas. Offer some doula to doula support for when they find themselves in that unexpected situation.
This post, became a letter, sharing my heart with my doula sisters. And then Cynthya, the blog owner, asked me to provide a webinar training for the doulas in her agency. Since this is not my area I contacted one of my Stillbirthday mentors to get them in contact with each other. And then, we realized, that they live in the same area and could probably set up an in person workshop!

Do you believe in coincidences? I certainly don't. I believe that coincidence can be God, linking us to the people or path that we are meant to find for one reason or another.
God uses everything to His Glory, the simplest or even the most painful things can all be used to fulfill a purpose. This time, He used the blog post that I wrote for a woman I've never met before to help a group of doulas get some much needed training on how to support their clients through loss. He can be really clever that way!
